Our Growth Journey

From a small group of enthusiasts to Brisbane’s leading Unreal Engine training hub.

Team meeting in early days, collaborative workspace

2019

Started as weekend workshops with 12 students. We weren’t sure what we were doing, honestly — just passionate about Unreal Engine and wanting to share that.

2021

Moved to dedicated studio space. Added online courses, reaching students across Australia. We’d trained over 200 people by end of year.

2023

Launched structured curriculum with specialized tracks. Portfolio reviews and mentorship became core parts of our program.

2026

Now training over 400 students annually. We’re focused on depth — really helping people understand the why behind each technique, not just clicking buttons.

What We Stand For

Hands-On Learning

We don’t believe in theory-only teaching. You’ll build actual projects from day one, making real mistakes and learning real solutions.

No Shortcuts

Some things take time to understand properly. We’d rather spend an extra week on fundamentals than rush through and have gaps in your knowledge.

Individual Attention

Small group sizes mean everyone gets feedback. If you’re struggling, we’ll spend extra time. If you’re moving fast, we’ll challenge you with harder problems.

Industry Connection

We’re still active in the industry. You’re learning current techniques from people actually using them, not from outdated tutorials.

How The Program Works

1

Assess Your Starting Point

We’ll figure out what you already know and what you need to learn. No judgment — everyone starts somewhere. You might be completely new to 3D, or you’re coming from another engine.

2

Build Foundational Skills

First weeks cover the fundamentals: interface navigation, basic modeling, material setup, lighting concepts. You’ll build small test scenes, not impressive portfolios yet.

3

Take On Real Projects

Mid-program, you’re tackling actual environment design challenges. Outdoor scenes, architectural spaces, detailed interiors. These become portfolio pieces.

4

Specialize & Deepen

In the final phase, you choose what interests you most — lighting mastery, character asset creation, optimization techniques, or advanced material workflows.

5

Portfolio & Next Steps

We’ll help you document your work professionally. Whether you’re freelancing, applying for jobs, or just making cool stuff — you’ll have real pieces to show.

Common Questions

Do I need experience with 3D software?

Nope. We’ve trained complete beginners. The only requirement is willingness to learn and spend time practicing. If you’ve used any design software before, that helps a bit, but it’s not necessary.

What’s the time commitment?

Sessions are typically 2-3 times per week, 90 minutes each. Outside class, you’ll want to practice — maybe 5-10 hours weekly if you’re serious. It’s flexible though; we work with different schedules.

Is this only for people wanting to work in games?

Not at all. Students come for different reasons — some want jobs in studios, others are architects wanting to visualize designs, filmmakers building environments, or just hobbyists who love 3D. The skills transfer everywhere.

Can I take this fully online?

Yes. All our sessions are online. We use Unreal’s collaborative tools so you can work together with instructors and peers from anywhere. You’ll need a decent computer though — nothing insane, but something that can handle the engine.

What if I get stuck?

That’s the whole point of having live instruction. When you hit a wall, you ask. We’ll show you the approach, but more importantly, we’ll explain why we’re doing it that way so you understand the principle, not just the steps.

Do you provide job placement?

We don’t have a formal placement program, but we’re connected with studios and freelance networks. More importantly, we’ll help you build a portfolio that speaks for itself. Good work gets noticed.
